BUDLEIGH SALTERTON MAY WEEK

Sylvia
and Mike had a very successful tournament at Budleigh.
In the blocks (playing advanced) Sylvia won her
block so she brought home the J K Brown Memorial Challenge
Cup which she has now won three times. Mike won the
knockout handicap (beating Sylvia in the final) and also
won his block in the advanced part of the tournament but
had to play the winner of a parallel block (Robert Upton
2.5) and lost by one hoop. Mike also reduced his handicap
from 6 to 5. Sylvia and Mike got to the semi-final of the
doubles but were narrowly beaten by the eventual winning
pair.
