The CA holds several events at this time of the year, known as the Eights. They are invitational depending on players' grades.
This year, the club had 3 players taking part in 3 different events:
- David Maugham played in the President's Cup at Ramsgate (8th - 11th September)
- Ian Lines played in the Chairman's Salver at Hamptworth (8th - 11th September)
- James Hawkins played in the Treasurer's Tankard at Ryde (8th - 12th September)
This year David Maugham (above) won the top event, the President's Cup, Ian Lines finished joint second in the Chairman's Salver and James Hawkins finished third in the Treasurer's Tankard.
