IAN LINES WINS THE PLATE AT THE WCF AC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
National Croquet Center, Florida, 16th - 24th April


Club member Ian Lines (England) did not qualify for the main knockout but went on to beat Leo McBride (Canada) to win the knock-out plate competition at the Association Croquet World Championship held recently in Florida.

There were also 2 other Bowdon members playing:

	David Walters (Wales) lost to David Maloof (USA) in the first round of the main knockout and went on to the quarter-final of the Bowl where he lost to Gavin Carter (England) - in fact, David did so well during the tournament that he has reduced his handicap to -2!
	David Maugham (England) also lost to David Maloof, but in the semi-final of the main event
