ALAN MAYNE
IS PRESENTED WITH POPPY AWARD
Last November the club held the Poppy Roquet competition in aid of the British Legion poppy appeal, raising £250 for the charity. This is to be a perpetual competition to be held around the time of Remembrance Sunday each year and the prize is one of the ceramic poppies that were displayed outside of the Tower of London last year.
Alan Mayne won the competition which comprised of attempting to roquet balls at varying distances and he is shown below receiving the award from Brian Storey (who made the presentation box).
