Friday, 25th July: Bowdon Griffins beat Bury 4-3 at home (NWF Midweek League)

Rupert Webb starred beating Margaret Anderton +2 and Barbara Young +6. Ann Whalley was scuppered by Margaret Eccles a rising Bury star handicap 24 going on 16 as was John Saxby in the afternoon. Happily John and Carol Steinberg scraped a doubles win against Barbara and Vi Richards +1T, Ann lost to Vi. Finally Carol secured a Bowdon by beating Margaret +3 

Sunday, 27th July: Bowdon Firs lost 3-4 at Southport (NWF Handicap League)

Bowdon lost the morning doubles and both the singles, so we were 3 - 0 down at lunch.

 It was a big ask to come back from there, but we were close, winning 3 of the 4 afternoon singles.

Sunday, 27th July: Bowdon A-Advanced team should have travelled to Bury but the match was switched to Bowdon where they won 9-0 (NWF Advanced League)

The golf croquet team travelled to Bury on Sunday and won 10 games, Bury North won 8. Ros and Margaret won their doubles game, Ros and Brian both won three of their four singles games, Ken won two and Margaret won 1.
