Day 2 (Sunday) was quarter-finals day and for the first time in living memory a peg shoot-out had to be held as John Wastell and Barry Keen had tied for the 8th quarter-final place.  After many near misses and much excitement for the spectators John won the shoot-out and took his place in the quarters.
