NATIONAL KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS 2014

This year Bowdon is entering teams into five national knockout competitions; the Inter-Club Championship(AC), the Inter-Club Golf Championship, the Mary Rose, the Longman Cup and the Secretary's Shield. We are invited to take part in the Shield as we won the NW Federation handicap league in 2013.

The Inter-Club team is open to all club members but it generally comprises of the club's top players. The Mary Rose team must have players who are zero handicap or higher and the total handicap of the team must be at least 4. The gross handicap of the Longman team must be at least 24 and each member must be 3.5 or higher.

Bowdon's opponents in the first round of each competition are:
Inter-Club(AC): Woking
Mary Rose: Chester
Longman: Bury
Secretary's Shield: Nottingham
Inter-Club(GC): Belsay Hall
