Congratulations to all 8 players who took part in the Novices Tournament on Saturday.

The players were initially drawn into 2 blocks with 4 players in each block. John Haworth won all 3 of his block games to win Block A while Nigel Green did the same in Block B. In the final playoff between these two, Nigel came out the winner to claim the much coveted Fotiadi Novices Silver Challenge Bowl. Graham Abraham beat Tim McCoy to take the third place.
Nigel's handicap has been cut to 20 while John and Graham have been cut to 22.

This tournament was open to all new members and those who did the beginners' course again this season but who had not played in the competition before.
Eight members signed up to take part in the tournament which was run by Colin Irwin.
It started at 10.00am and play went on until 4.00pm.
Games were 14 point on a short lawn, 10 bisques each, played in 2 blocks of 4 players with the winners of each block playing a final to see who was the overall champion!
