Bowdon St. Mary's win at Birkdale and other results elsewhere on Sunday mean that St. Mary's win the NW Federation Handicap League (the 8th time by a Bowdon team).

Those who have represented St. Mary's this season are:
Alan Mayne, Mike Steer, Kay Martin, David Holland, Ros Pimlott, Neil Thompson and Chris .

Winning this league means the club now competes in the national Secretary's
Shield next season against all the handicap league winners from the other federations. The last time Bowdon was in the Secretary's was 2002 when we won the competition.
