| CHARITY ONE-BALL
NORTHERN REGIONAL FINAL, 12th May (in aid of Prostate Cancer UK) After a cold but dry start to the day the rain set in after lunch but this did not spoil the day for the 14 players who turned up for this charity event. They came from 5 clubs in the North West of England who held heats to gain access to the final. Colin Irwin managed 6 wins out of 7, playing off a one-ball handicap of -5, to lift the winner's decanter. The last round of the Swiss event, effectively, turned out to be a final between the best 2 players on the day.
