BUDLEIGH SALTERTON MAY WEEK, 6-11th May Mike and Sylvia went to the Budleigh Salterton May Week Tournament and came away with two trophies.  Placed in parallel American Blocks with handicaps from 5 to 9, Mike won his block with 5 wins out of 6 and Sylvia came second in hers with 4 wins out of 5.  Mike then played the winner of Sylvia's block in the final, which he won, to take the Division II J K Brown Memorial Challenge Cup (won in 1968 by Martin Granger Brown and, more recently, by Sylvia in 2003). Meanwhile, Sylvia won the Open Handicap Singles event to come away with a rather elegant cut glass goblet.
