NW FEDERATION SHORT CROQUET LEAGUE, Sunday 21st April Bowdon Short croquet team lost 9-7 to Bury Carol Steinberg (Capt.) Nan Bowers Chris Evans Bob Hunter   The short team had a narrow defeat to Bury at their first match of the season. The score was 6 all after the third round with a final result of 9/7 to Bury. Congratulations to Bob Hunter on his first appearance in a Bowdon team and to Nan Bowers and Chris Evans for their stirling efforts. Bury Team Handicaps: Tony Phillips (1/2), Bob Whittle (8), Graham Good (10) and Maureen Whittle (10). Bowdon results: Bob 1/4, Nan 1/4, Chris 2/4, Carol 3/4. A good start to the season.
