SWINGING SUNDAY, this Sunday 2nd September

Only 2 new members attended the last Swinging Sunday of this season so Steve Reynolds treated it as a coaching game asking each player to explain what they were trying to achieve at each shot and offering advice where appropriate. This mainly meant thinking about getting pioneers and breaks set up rather than just trying to run the next hoop. Both Leo Fletcher and Bob Hunter appreciated this and felt that they had benefitted from the session.

Swinging Sundays are regular events set up during the season to allow some short croquet to be played in a relaxed environment. Aimed specifically at high bisquers, getting them playing some competitive croquet in a friendly atmosphere, with help and guidance as they play. The sessions consist of 2 games, each 1 hour long, finishing at about 12.30pm.
