CLUB LADDERS
 
A new form of Club Ladder competition has now started at the club. No longer will players that are never around appear near the top of the ladders!  It's simple to join - just fill out a card and insert it in the relevant ladder!

      RULES FOR HANDICAP & ADVANCED LADDERS
      > Separate Handicap and Advanced Ladders will be contended
            ~ the Handicap Ladder will be set up as per the finishing positions of last season
            ~ the Advanced Ladder will be set up in ranking within handicap order
      > Each ladder will be played in calendar monthly cycles
      > During each month a player may challenge an opponent up to 4 *ongoing places above once, as well as anyone below if they so desire
            ~ if he/she wins,
                    the challenger will move his/her nameplate to take the place of the challengee
                    the challengee and other players in between will all shuffle down one position
            ~ if he/she loses,
                    no changes will be effected
      > The results will be entered on the appropriate score sheet on the notice board as well as on both players' handicap cards
      > Players joining after the start date will enter the ladder at the bottom
      > Any problems with arranging games should be referred to the Croquet Secretary

Physical ladders will be made and positioned on the club notice board to get the system going but, if anyone knows where we can get hold of nice wooden ladders (similar to those found in Squash Clubs), then please let the Croquet Secretary know.
