NWFCC FLYING CIRCUS COACHING COURSES
The Flying Circus was set up by the NW Federation of Croquet Clubs to bring coaching courses at varying levels, delivered by experienced coaches, to clubs by running a full day course. The Federation will fund the course and so there is no cost to players or clubs.

Courses and venues already identified are:
SILVER Course at Bowdon on Sunday, 15th April (Experienced players with Association Croquet handicaps 8-11).
INTERMEDIATE GOLF Course at Chester on Saturday, 21st April (Players with Golf Croquet handicaps 6-8).
BRONZE Course at Westmorland on Sunday, 29th April (Players with Association Croquet handicaps 12-18).
tCOACHES TRAINING COURSE (CTC) at Chester on Saturday/Sunday, 12/13th May.

If any Bowdon players would like to attend any of the above courses or require further details then they should contact Ken Cooper.
If you are just outside of the suggested ranges and feel that you would also benefit from attending then please feel free to apply and entry will depend on numbers already attending.

The Silver Course is for players in the handicap range 8-11 and will involve, depending on time constraints, coaching in some of the following techniques:

* Split Croquet Strokes
* Hoop Approaches
* Hoop Problems
* Thick Take-Offs
* 4-Ball Breaks
* Constructing Breaks Using Bisques
* The Three-Ball Break
* 3-Ball Endings
* Bisque-Taking Against 'A' Class Players & Classic Openings
* Leaves at the End of the First Break Against 'A' Class Players

The Bronze Course is for players in the range of 12-18 and will involve, depending on time constraints, coaching in some of the following techniques:

* Openings
* Split Croquet Strokes
* Hoop Approaches
* 4-Ball Breaks with Movable Pivot Ball
* Construct Breaks with Bisques
* Game Strategy When Receiving Bisques
* Bisque-Taking Against 'A' Class Players & Classic Openings
* 3-Ball Breaks
* 3-Ball Endings
* Laws Session
* Cannons
The Intermediate Golf Course is for players in the GC handicap range of 6-8 and specifically deals with handicap play (particularly strategies for playing against higher handicap players who can deploy extra turns). The Coaches Training Course is for any aspiring coaches who want to take their first step into coaching to gain their Club Coach (yellow) badge. It will cover the training of both Association and Golf Croquet coaches.
