EIGHTS WEEK, 7th-11th September
Two Bowdon members played in Eights Week, a C.A. national event where places are allocated by the AC Selection Committee to the best players in the country who are interested in competing.
There are 5 separate 'eights', the top one being the President's Cup in which David Maugham & Ian Lines played.
David finished in joint second place behind winner Robert Fulford while Ian came eighth.
