The scoreline is flattering to Bury as several games we lost were very close, 2 were lost only by 1 hoop. Steve was the only winner on a very, very wet day; however, the lawns were surprisingly good.

Despite the miserable, cold, wet weather, Bowdon gained a useful looking lead in the morning 6-2. However, a disastrous first session after lunch allowed Southport to catch up. Finally, in the last game to finish, Tony Camm won on the Golden Hoop for Bowdon to hang on to a draw. Tony won 3 out of 4, Alison and Dave 2, Brian 1.
