ARE YOU A MEMBER OF THE
CROQUET ASSOCIATION?
Bowdon is proud to be a member of the CA, the governing body for the
sport in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the
Isle of Man. Three key parts of the CA's work are:
- It develops and
controls a national coaching system and trains and appoints coaches at
all levels
- It maintains and develops the laws of the game, liaises with the WCF
and other countries' laws bodies and trains and examines referees
- It operates the national handicap and ranking systems for both
Association and Golf croquet
"Why should I join as I do not wish to enter tournaments?"
Because at Bowdon we all benefit from this and we have trained people
who can help you improve your game or answer questions about the laws
and handicaps (see club handbook p.28 for details).
