BRIAN RUST WINS NOVICES' TOURNAMENT, Saturday 18th September 2010 Novices' Tournament Winner: Brian Rust This year's Novices' Tournament was open to all new members and to those who participated in the beginners’ course in May & June. As a result, 5 players competed this weekend for the coveted Fotiadi Novices' Silver Challenge Bowl; they have all worked with a personal mentor over the past few months.  Games were 14-point on a short lawn in an all-play-all competition, with games lasting 1 hour each. In parallel to the main event, a 4-ball break challenge competition was held for the single player. Brian Rust narrowly beat Fiona Howard on points to win the Silver Challenge Bowl and Kay Martin won the 4-ball break challenge competition.
