RICHARD SMITH WINS ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS B-LEVEL TOURNAMENT,
11th-12th September

Richard Smith won the B-Level Advanced Tournament at the Royal Tunbridge Wells club over the weekend to claim the Honeygrove Cup and a lead crystal wine glass. There was a field of 8 players, with handicaps from 1 to 7, in an all-play-all format.  After the first day, Paul Miles from Medway was leading with 4/4, with Richard on 3/4 following his defeat by Paul.  However, on the final day, Paul lost 2/3 games, whilst Richard won all of his to win the tournament with 7/8.
