IN OLD PHOTOS OF A BYGONE AGE

A year or so ago one of our members, Patrick Cheyne, cleared the house of one of the club's most prestigious former members, Mrs. Alex Fotiadi. Among the contents were a number of old croquet photos, some from (probably) the Southern Championships, Devonshire Park, Eastbourne in 1957. Recently, a player of that period, Dr. William Ormerod, was able to identify a number of the people taking part and these names have been recorded for posterity; they can be viewed by clicking here. |
