EIGHTS WEEK Five Bowdon members were playing in this week's Selection Event at various localities around the country. THE PRESIDENT'S CUP (11-13 Sept.) at East Dorset (Parkstone) THE CHAIRMAN'S SALVER (10-13 Sept.) at Colchester THE TREASURER'S TANKARD (9-13 Sept.) at Budleigh Salterton THE SELECTORS' WEEKEND (11-13 Sept.) at Surbiton David Maugham Keith Aiton Ian Lines Richard Griffiths David Mooney Robert Fulford won the event. David finished with 8 wins out of 14 & Keith finished with 8 wins out of 14, both tied in 3rd place. Tony Le Moignan beat Ian Lines in a play off to win the Salver; the one ball ending was apparently "the only interesting match out of the 57" Dave Kibble won the event with Richard in equal fifth place with 6 wins out of 14 Brian Fisk won the event but further details are unknown
