John Lucas was successful in winning the Heaton Park Handicap Weekend tournament, organised by Bury Croquet Club. Other Bowdon players there were Barry Keen and Ros Pimlott. John won 4 games out of 5, his only loss being to Ros! John is seen here being presented with a very tasteful trophy by David Barrett and Geoff Young of the Bury Club. |
