Two Bowdon
members took part in the 2009 Mitsubishi Motors European Team
Championship, held at Cheltenham and Nailsea Croquet Clubs, playing for
their respective countries.
The Championship was played under a combination of Association and Golf
Croquet rules. Teams were made up of three players and each match
consisted of two Association Croquet matches (single games) and one
Golf Croquet match (best of three games, 13 point).
Keith Aiton led the Scotland team to a 2-1 victory over England in the
final while David Walters was in the Wales A team that was beaten by
Canada in the quarter finals.
