FIRST TROPHY OF THE SEASON FOR DAVID WALTERS (04/04/09)
 
Whilst over 35 members were at Bowdon  for the opening of the lawns another 6 (Ian Lines, Brian Storey, Alan Mayne, Ros Pimlott, Abdul Ahmad & David Walters) were playing in The 9th Lancashire International Open Golf Championship at Heaton Park.  Bowdon provided 3 out of the 4 semi-finalists, with Ian Lines losing to Tim King and David Walters beating Brian Storey. 
In the final David Walters beat Tim King 7-4, 3-7, 7-3
