On Sunday, 13th April, the local derby of St.Mary's entertaining Firs in the first league game of the season resulted in an amicable 3-3 draw.

When time was called, Firs were 1 up so they decided to spread the balls far and wide. With oppos red near hoop 3 and yellow two-thirds the way up west boundary, they put their balls in corners 1 and 4. Red hit black in corner 4 and took off to rover, its hoop. Having run rover, red shot at yellow and missed; blue joined up with black. Red rushed yellow to its hoop, 2-back, and separated oppos balls. After black shot and missed, yellow made the golden hoop to win! |
