Ros Pimlott in WCF Women's Golf Croquet Championship

 Ros Pimlott competed in the 1st World Women's Golf Croquet Championship in Egypt along with 11 other
English ladies, in an total entry of 50 players from 10 countries around the world.  
It ran from 12th - 20th November and was held in the Gezirah Sporting Club in Cairo.
The format was a block stage, all play all best of 3 games, followed by
Rounds 1 & 2 played as a best of 3 games knockout and plate.
 Ros's results in Block B were:
Sun. 1030 lost to Manal Ali Mohsen (EG) 4/7, 3/7; 1700 lost to Christine Pont (AUS) 2/7, 5/7
Mon. 0900 lost to
Freda Rogers (ENG) 7/2, 5/7, 4/7; 1400 lost to Anne Oxton (SA) 3/7, 2/7
Tues.
1700 lost to Mervat Shazli (EG) 1/7, 1/7
 Ros played in the Plate 1st Round Wed. 1030 v. Valerie Lefel (AUS) but the result is not known.
 On Sunday, Nahad Hassan (EG) won the first ever world title for women after beating Iman El Faransawi (EG)
 7/5, 7/4, 6/7, 7/6 in a wonderful match lasting 3 hours; Ros finished in 47th position.
