An amazing mid-week turnout of 28 club members greeted the first ever Alternative Counties Tournament held at Bowdon today. Seven teams, representing Cheshire, London, Scotland, Staffordshire/Derbyshire, Lancashire, Kent and Middlesex/Essex took part in the competition which was won, after a very tight struggle, by Middlesex/Essex, who won 5 out of their 6 matches. Close behind were the London team, also with 5 out of 6 and third were Cheshire (4/6)
