18 players turned up for the furst Taster Day and learned some basic strokes in the morning, enough to play 3 matches in the afternoon. There was a tie for top spot but Hilary beat Roger in a play-off by hitting the peg from the side of the lawn. Most showed willingness to join the Beginners' Course which starts at 7om on Thursday, 5th May.
