ANNUAL DINNER – FRIDAY 22 NOVEMBER 2013 at the BOWDON ROOMS

Eating at 8pm (with piano accompaniment) followed by dancing, until midnight, to Dominic Halpin and The Honey B’s (a 50’s / 60’s swing band). Option to meet earlier at the Club House for pre-dinner drinks.

Dress – smart/casual.  Seating in tables of 10 – when booking please state any preference.

Cost £30 to be paid in full with reservations by the end of October.  Choices and cheques to be sent to Nan Bowers at 5 Newington Court, The Firs, Bowdon, Altrincham WA14 2UA (if hand delivering the letter box is in the service door on the left-hand side of the building). A list confirming receipts will be posted on the Club Notice Board.

1. Homemade Pork & Walnut Pate with Apple Cider Pickle & lightly toasted farmhouse Bread.

2. Home Cured Gravadlax with Lime & Dill served with a Chive Citrus Sour cream & Rye Bread.                                                                         

 3. Tuscan tart with Italian White bean salad & Spinach & Feta Dip. (V)

      Main Course

1. Cheshire Beef & Ale Pie, Tender Chunks of local Beef cooked in a rich Ale Gravy with Shallots & Chestnut mushrooms, topped with homemade short crust pastry.                                                      

2.  Roasted Pork Tenderloin wrapped in Parma ham, stuffed with Apricot & Thyme, Buttered Fondant Potato, creamed Savoy cabbage & a tomato & Wild Mushroom Sauce.                                                                     

3. Honey and Mustard Glaze Grilled Salmon, with roasted Fennell and New Potatoes.

4.  Moroccan Spiced Chick Pea Parcels with Apricots, Spinach & Sweet Potato, served with Confit Tomatoes and Olives, (V)

1. Dark Chocolate Pot with White Chocolate Shavings & fresh Raspberries.                                                            

2. Bramley apple Crumble –made with Bramley apples served warm with Custard or Cream.

3. Pecan Pie – Home made Pastry Tart with a Gooey Caramel and Pecan Nut Filling.
